GOALS
The goal of the SRTP Project is to provide a fiscally restrained planning document for the existing transit service and to create a usable plan to guide transit decisions over the next five years analyzing, addressing, improving, and upgrading the following items:
• Service Types & Service Areas
• Matching Services to User Types
• Determining the Base Level of Service for User Types
The pandemic impacted transit operations, along with travel behaviors of residents and visitors alike.
A revised Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) will explore how new technologies such as micro transit, on-demand services, as well as water transit, could revitalize older service models and create new opportunities.

A new RTP plan recognizes the need for a regional funding source. Other challenges include reducing Vehicle Miles Traveled (VMT) and Greenhouse Gas Emissions (GHG).
