Tahoe Transportation District is required to develop a Short-Range Transit Plan (SRTP) to comply with various Federal Transit Administration and Caltrans requirements. Through the SRTP updating process, these items are assessed:

- THE TRANSIT SYSTEM

- FLEET NEED

- CAPITAL AND OPERATING COSTS AND REVENUES

- NEW TRANSIT SERVICES AND PROJECTS

Then recommendations are made

for improvements.

The SRTP will also include key operational data such as expected total service hours and total revenue miles while providing a better understanding of regional public transit needs in the short term.

Revenue forecasts will detail expected funding and how those funds will be spent to address the identified needs, goals, and District priorities
